About the Benefits and Payroll Liaison Branch, OHR

The Benefit Specialists and Assistants will be able to help you with a variety of issues pertaining to the health and life insurance programs, designating beneficiaries, contributing to the Thrift Savings Plan and calculating retirement annuity estimates. We will work with you to pay a redeposit for prior civilian service if you previously withdrew your retirement funds and assist you with paying a deposit for prior civilian or military service for which retirement deductions were not withheld. We will also provide benefit counseling to you, your family and survivors, as appropriate.

The payroll liaison staff serves as liaison with the Department’s Payroll Services Division, who in turn works with DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service), our payroll provider, to facilitate the resolution of salary and leave issues.
