2009 Assimilations Boards

The Office of the Surgeon General has determined that Assimilation Boards will be held this summer. To that end, on Friday, 17 July, OCCO will begin accepting applications for the 2009 Assimilation Boards. Advertising will begin on 15 JULY via the CCMIS website and ListServe. Applications from eligible candidates postmarked no later than 31 August 2009 will be accepted. Applications received after that date will be applied to the 2010 Boards. The 2009 Assimilation Boards will be scheduled for late September.

Although, officers with at least two years of service are eligible to apply, applications from these officers will not go before a board until they have 3 years of service as of 31 March of the Assimilation Year (AY). The usual requirements regarding adverse actions, COERs, medical, licensure, readiness, et al will apply. Officers should be referred to CCI 324.01, CCI 324.03 and POM 09-001 for information regarding policy and procedure.
