Description: The purpose of the award is to recognize exceptional leadership among persons who have devoted themselves to a life of public service.  American University’s School of Public Affairs annually grants the Roger W. Jones Award to two federal career executives who have demonstrated the values promoted by Roger W. Jones.
The award honors the contributions of the many career executives who carry out the work of government and improve the quality of life among the public at large. It recognizes the challenges imposed upon career executives who balance the necessities of leadership and active pursuit of government goals with respect for the rule of law. It expresses appreciation to the persons who demonstrate and maintain the values of public service.
The award ceremony, held in the fall on the American University campus, honors the year’s two recipients, each of whom also receives a cash prize of $2,500.

Description: The annual Frank B. Rowlett Awards Program is a top priority for the Information Assurance Directorate (IAD) of the National Security Agency (NSA). The IAD is the focal point for information assurance (IA) within the United States Government and understands the importance of acknowledging those individuals and organizations that have excelled in the practice of IA during the past calendar year. Through this awards program, the IAD hopes to encourage the development of new and exciting IA programs and awareness products.
The Frank B. Rowlett Awards Program provides non-monetary awards to government organizations and individuals who have excelled in the field of IA. On the following pages you will find the criteria for each award category and a modified submission form. Please take this opportunity to recognize your "top IA practitioners."

Name: Warner Stockberger Achievement Award

Description: The Warner W. Stockberger Achievement Award was established to honor the memory of Dr. Warner W. Stockberger, a pioneer and leader in federal personnel administration. Stockberger was the first director of personnel for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and served as the first president of the Society for Personnel Administration, a predecessor organization of IPMA-HR. The Stockberger Achievement Award is presented annually.
The purpose of the award is to recognize and honor a person in public or private life who has made an outstanding contribution toward the improvement of human resource management at any level of government.

Description: Since 1945, the Lasker Awards have recognized the contributions of scientists, physicians, and public servants who have made major advances in the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of disease. Lasker Awards often presage future recognition of the Nobel committee, and they have become known popularly as “America’s Nobels.” There are 81 Lasker laureates that have received the Nobel Prize, including 29 in the last two decades.
