Legal Resources

At one time or another, everyone needs a lawyer, or at least some legal guidance and advice. But the last thing you want is to add to the demands of work and personal life, trying to track down the help you need.

The Work/Life Center offers a legal resource and referral service designed to help you with legal problems. Whether your issue is straightforward enough to be solved during a telephone consultation with an attorney, or is more complex and requires ongoing assistance, this service can help. We can't promise that you won't spend any time or money, but we can help minimize the impact and free you up for the other things that are important to you at work and at home.

How Does this Service Work?

When you call the Work/Life Center to request this service, we will gather some basic information from you, and then transfer you over to our service.

A consultant there will do an intake, getting more detailed information about you and the issue that you wish to discuss. The information in this intake is gathered for Legalcare America, the company that actually provides the legal service.

Within about a day you will receive a return telephone call from an attorney from one of Legalcare America's Law Firms. These are well-established law firms in every state, selected and trained to consult with clients conveniently by telephone. They will not ask you to come into their office for services and they will not bill you for the telephone consultation or any other service.

Most of the time, issues can be solved during the telephone consultation with this attorney. If the issue cannot be solved during the consultation, you will be given a referral to one or more licensed lawyers in your geographical area who specialize in that issue. Through this referral you get a free 30 minute consultation, and then any services provided beyond that are discounted by 25%.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost for me to use the service?

The telephone consultation service itself is free. If your problem requires a referral, you will receive contact information about licensed attorneys in your area who specialize in the relevant field. Any fees incurred past that point are your responsibility, although by going through the service there is a discount.

Referral Quality and Qualifications
