Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS)

The Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) is an annual survey administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. It is a tool that measures Federal Government employees' perceptions of whether, and to what extent, conditions characterizing successful organizations are present in their agencies. This is an opportunity for our employees to candidly share their perspectives about their work experiences, organizations, and leaders.

NIH leadership values employee input, and uses this confidential feedback to create positive changes throughout the organization. These changes may include, but are not limited to: hosting focus groups and establishing pulse surveys to better understand the results; formulating action plans to address organizational areas of improvement; and launching new and/or enhanced programs.

The most recent FEVS took place in the spring of 2016, and the NIH results are available in the 2016 NIH FEVS Report. Previous years' results can be found on the NIH Employee Engagement website. The next FEVS is anticipated to occur in spring 2017.

Please email the NIH Office of Human Resources if you have any questions or comments.
