NIH Leave Bank – Helping Others…Helping You!
Open Enrollment for the 2015 Leave Bank Extended: November 10 – December 19, 2014
The Leave Bank program offers income protection and peace of mind to eligible NIH employees who have exhausted all of their leave and are affected by a medical emergency.
NIH Federal civilian employees may become members of the 2015 NIH Leave Bank during Open Enrollment or within 60 days of their Enter-on-Duty date. To enroll, an employee must submit a request using ITAS and contribute one pay period’s worth of annual leave. Once a member, an employee can request to become a leave recipient if he/she experiences a medical emergency.
